Hey guys, this is Tom with Big Sky Franchise Team. And huge news that just was released. I just got a news alert from the Atlanta Business Chronicle that Andrew T. Cathy has been named the third CEO of Chick-fil-A. So if you’re in the franchising business, or really any business, you haven’t heard of Chick-fil-A yet, maybe you’re living under a rock, but this is big, big, big news. So Andrew T. Cathy is going to be replacing his father, Dan Cathy, as the CEO of the company. Dan Cathy, who he’s replacing, will remain the chairman of the Atlanta-based chain. And this is coming directly from the article written in the Atlanta Business Chronicle by David Allison, literally was published, well, on my clock, 52 minutes ago here.

But it says, “One of America’s largest and fastest-growing restaurant chains is getting a new chief executive. Chick-fil-A Inc. announced September 16th that Andrew T. Cathy will become CEO on November 1st, succeeding his father, Dan T. Cathy. Following the transition, Dan Cathy will remain chairman of the Atlanta-based restaurant chain and Tim Tassopoulos will continue as president and COO. Andrew Cathy, 43, has been closely involved in the company’s management for several years, and he became a member of the executive committee in 2015.”
